About Signature Stone & Design

Beautiful stone. Thoughtful guidance. Rooted in Vernal.

Countertops, stone, imports and design: we help you explore natural stone and premium surfaces, understand your options and make an informed choice for your home or project.

Who we are

A stone business rooted in the Uintah Basin

Signature Stone & Design is based in Vernal, Utah, and serves Vernal, Utah, the Uintah Basin and communities across Utah and Colorado. The four words on our sign say what we do: countertops, stone, imports and design.

We work with natural stone from around the world, including granite, quartzite, marble, dolomite, soapstone, onyx and travertine, as well as premium engineered surfaces such as porcelain. Our catalog currently photographs 161 slabs, and it grows as new material arrives.

Our approach

Stone is a long-term decision, and most people only make it once or twice in a lifetime. We think the most useful thing we can do is explain the options honestly: how each stone looks in a real room, how it wears, what it needs from you, and where it is not the right choice. That is why this site includes a full guide to the different types of stone and a guide to the products and applications we help with.

Our second principle is simple: look at the real slab. Samples and screens flatter and flatten. We encourage every customer to see the actual material before committing, and we help you choose which part of a slab ends up where.

Who we work with

Homeowners remodeling kitchens and bathrooms or building new homes, contractors and builders, interior designers, and commercial projects that need durable, beautiful surfaces. Each has its own page explaining how we work together.
